Welcome! I'm a Ph.D. Candidate in Accounting at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and I am on the 2024-2025 job market.
My primary research focuses on how investors use information, their information (dis)advantages in markets, and the application of large language models (LLMs) for textual analysis. I aim to understand how investors process and integrate information to make more informed decisions, and to what extent frictions affect their information processing costs. By exploring textual information, I gain valuable insights into these questions, often utilizing natural language processing and LLMs in my research. Prior to pursuing my Ph.D., I worked as an auditor for EY Korea, where I was in charge of many audit clients, including HP Inc. and foreign subsidiaries of Hanwha Q Cells Co., Ltd. I earned a BBA from Korea University and a Master of Information Management and Systems from the University of California, Berkeley. I am also a licensed CPA in both the US and South Korea. |
